Speed Modeling Challenge #195 - FX Pedal

Speed Modeling Challenge #195 - Guitar FX Pedal.

    Rules:

    1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
    2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger.
    3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug-ins are allowed.
    4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
    5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
    6. The winner is judged by the challenge starter and the prize is to set up the challenge after next week's.
    *************************************************

This week's topic: I've been playing Rocksmith with my guitar lately and managing to unlock some of the FX pedals in the game (yeah!) and these are rendered in 3D inside the game. So show me the pedals. It can be a real one, your own custom design, old or new.

    Time limit: 90 minutes

    Deadline: Wednesday, November, 14th, 2012, 22:00 G.M.T

Dammit, I'm too busy to enter but I'll definitely keep an eye on the thread.

Here's a real one I made for a mate recently (it took a lot longer than 90 minutes): https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

    Thanks egearbox.

But I dunno... Wasn't happy with the normal map on the rubber.

Anyway I'm judging this so I can't win. I just thought I would post..... not a bump or anything.

I have to admit I wouldn't know a guitar pedal from a bicycle pedal, so my made-up labels are just that: made up. Having said that, I do think the render on this one turned out nicely. (Not as good as yours, though, XswampyX.)

To get the nice chamfer between the base of the knobs and the 'handle' did you just manually tweak it, or use some automatic tool (e.g. Rounder)?

Nope, it was all just Bevel and Knife. Wireframe attached. Thanks!

Thanks for the detail. So basically, 'elbow grease'. Marvellous job!

Some nice models and some very cool renders here.

Well finally i did join the speed modeling challenge but i passed the 90 min as i kept on changing to the model while in the lighting and material process and didn't keep track of time.
Disqualified but i think it was worth it.
