    3Play 425 playback freezes momentarily

We have a 3Play 425 that we are using for football broadcasts. We are experiencing playback issues when playing out a PLAYLIST.

The playback speed is set at 100%. As each clip in the playlist starts, it starts sluggishly...like it is at a slower speed setting. Sometimes it even comes to a VERY BRIEF stop. Then the clip will pick up speed and play out the rest of it at the correct speed setting (100%). When the next clip comes up, it will do the same thing. Note: occasionally, a clip will start and play through correctly.

I have already defragmented the drives, but have not done a system restore yet.

Has anyone seen this? Anyone have any suggestions?

Haven't seen that specific issue with our machine but we have had a few playback issues.

Our unit actually just fully died and is going in for service so we're hoping our issues may have been hardware related problems. Time will tell, good luck.

While reading this thread, I thought it to be a good idea to step in here. First off, I hope any issues you have had were resolved. But if they were not, I wanted to let you know, and anyone else interested, that a newer version of the 3Play software (for 3Play XD425 and XD820) is available for download. You can get the update from our registration site at register.newtek.com, by logging in and clicking the 'my downloads' link and then selecting and downloading the "Latest" build. I am not familiar with the specifics of your reported issue, but the newer version of 3Play XD software is 4d.3 and does make some improvements that may address these issues.

If that does not resolve the issue, I'd recommend getting in touch with NewTek's customer service for support through the normal channels.

    Thank you,
