Speed Modeling Challenge #186 - Punishment.

Speed Modeling Challenge #186 - Punishment.
    *************************************************

    Rules:

    1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
    2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger.
    3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug-ins are allowed.
    4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
    5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
    6. The winner is judged by the challenge starter and the prize is to set up the challenge after next week's .
    *************************************************

This week's topic: Punishment. Any type of device or equipment used for punishment in the past, present or even future (if you have an idea). There is a wide range of things to choose from such as paddle, prison cell, stocks, gallows, and many more. Here's a link to help http://www.localhistories.org/pun.html
    Good luck.

    Time limit: 60 minutes

    Deadline: Wednesday, 29 August 2012, 22:00 G.M.T

Here you go, my first time ever entering. Total time, about 50minutes. Tight confinement is a form of punishment.

Of course, someone's going to have to go for the joke. I'll see what I can come up with... Actually, I've a couple of ideas, I'll have to see how they work out.

    You rang?

Has to be a modelling record. 3mins total. 10mins texture and light.

    1. Create 48 side disc 2cm width
    2. Select upper and lower poly, bevel, bridge
    3. Select outer row of ring, Connect, select points and pull out
    4. hit tab
    5. Select inner ring, UVmap (for official marks)

    Done.

    Looks good.

I would have gone for an inscription in the ring reading "One Ring to Rule him All..." though.

Edit : This is the joke I was aiming for (might be offensive, it's crass humor...)

I purposely left this option out of the list of punishments and you guys still went there immediately! Unbelieveable.

By the way, nice renders. I like those pearl rings.

@bax33: yer, with the purple/pink cover it does give the rings a pearl look.

Ok, I will promise to do something that actually relates to the topic.

I didn't like this show as a child. But I watched it because we only got one TV channel. To have to watch this show now would be torture for me. If you don't know about "I Love Lucy", then there is hope that humanity has progressed. Full hour, a bit sloppy on the antenna.

As noted earlier, here's the wires for the ring above, to make it an official entry. I'll try to have something more on topic before the deadline wednesday.

Actually, all of these are 'on topic'. When I came up with the topic, the first thing I thought of was marriage, but I didn't want to suggest it. I was just surprised how quickly it came to surface.

Continuing along a similar theme - pregnancy tests.

40 mins modeling, somewhere around the same for the render setup.
Grand efforts from everyone so far.

A hanging cage or Gibbet. Popular for a time for dealing with pirates and sheep stealers.
Just about the hour modeling. The render may be far too dark but I just cant tell, my monitor is on its way out and its brightness is becoming rather unreliable.

Some strange choices on here so far but still good work
