    DP MicroDisp

I added this DP MicroDisp volumetric plugin,
generating and displacing micropolygons for a geometric object.

The micropolygons are generated on the fly without consuming memory,
vertices of microtriangles are displaced along the smoothed normal.
Individual object parameters are accessible in a Custom Object plugin.

    An animated micro displacement,

Really? Really?! This is so brilliant I'm actually speechless.

Just out of curiosity though (and so much for me being speechless, eh?) why volumetric? I mean - personal choice, LW limitation or is it the standard for micropoly displacement?

    Anyway. Thanks!

Another feature I have been (indeed) crying for for years, not because all other software does it well, but VRay certainly does..

    Looking forward to testing!

    --

One awesome Vray example - single poly road surface displaces bitumen surface at rendertime, and edges around manhole covers, drains, curbs microdisplace 'automatically' .. I winder if this can already be done via nodes ...

    THANKS DENIS!
