    RIP Darwin of Advertising Works

Last night the NewTek community lost one of its greatest proponents. Long time NewTek user and Dealer, Darwin Porter of Advertising Works in Boise has passed away due to injuries from an auto accident. He was involved in an accident while driving down for his yearly NAB pilgrimage.

He was a great friend and will be missed every day.

    RIP good friend

Darwin was our GO-TO guy. We had purchased 10 Tricasters from him over the years and he always stoped to see us and talk when he was in town. We really enjoyed or time with him. We are currently on tour and need the address so we can send our condolences. Please contack me at KLBatWWDBdotCOM. This is truely sad news for all of us. Could someone direct me to any info on the wreck please? Kim

    Beloved friend Darwin

I'm beyond distraught of the news today. Darwin wasn't our rep, he was our friend. Always available. Except for today when I txtd a tech question and didnt get a response within minutes, my colleague and I thought it strange...Then, to find out this news, merely minutes later. We truly lost a family member. And, I dont mean to take anything away from the Porter family, each one smart and productive. The hole in their hearts must be immeasurable. He never sold Newtek to us, he knew enough about it, we bought into Darwin. We would talk shop for a brief time then we would ask him about his family because it was so obvious how he loved them--DEEPLY. Darwin, we love you dear friend.

So sad to hear. I heard at the dealer meeting that he got into an accident, but didn't realize it was so bad.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and NewTek community.

    Sad News

Thank you Jeff for all of the information. We have known Darwin for years, meeting up with him at Dealer Training and NAB yearly. We drove the same evening from Logan Utah using the same route, how sobering it was on our drive home.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and all of you who will be missing a dear friend.
Please let us know if we can be of any help.

In the past year two people I have known were killed and one person paralyzed in three separate auto accidents. Please be careful.
