Newbe to Speed Edit, Where to get transitions

Hi everyone. I recently bought Speed Edit2 and love it so far. My question is I have the olde Video Toaster Flyer system running on an Amiga 4000. Where does a person get more transitions that can be used with Speed Edit? The Flyer had way more available, it seems that Newtek skimped on the available ones that come with the install of Speed Edit.

It seems with newer releases of SpeedEdit, fewer DVEs are included than VT[4] VTEdit.

Off-hand the two sources I know of for third party DVE sets are myself ( http://corin.com/wipes/dves.shtml ) and DiscreetFX ( http://www.discreetfx.com/newtekproducts.html ).

I was about to say that I remember there being a repository of free DVEs, but that it wasn't around anymore, but a little googling turned it up:

    Viola!

There are about a hundred free DVEs here:

    transitions

If you purchased se for on-line download you do not have
    the transitions.

Call Customer service and request a download location.

They may not have disappeared, the tab for them may just not be set to the right directory.

The folders are still there however they are now empty? The transitions were there before the upgrade to 2.5

    old folders

I think you are looking at the new folders created.
    They will be empty.
The old folders are probably in a different place.
    Do a windows file search.

I had the exact same thing happen to me recently, and I can't find them anywhere on my system.

Nope, cant find them anywhere, they have disappeared. Unless someone has a solution to this my only choice well have to be to do an complete uninstall and start a fresh install from the original DVDs.
Cant just go get them off the original discs either as they install files are not accessible.
I wish someone from Newtek would chime in on this as I have not heard a peep from them on this and it seems to be an issue others are having.

The original transitions are on the original discs you received if
you got the discs from newtek.
If you downloaded the original discs you then need to contact.
NewTek CS two weeks ago to find out how to download the transitions.
OR... reinstall from your original discs.

The only way to get them back is to reinstall the software from scratch, the 2 DVDs that I got from Newtek can not be "browsed" to simply retrieve the files. The install is some sort of encrypted file. You need to check your copy and you will see what I mean.

Yep, there is no way of doing this using the original discs without undoing the 2.5 installation.

Fortunately, I have some SD dissolves from my VT5 software which is also installed on the same system. But still... not cool.

Man, I really, really, need my transitions back. Do you think NewTek will send a disc to me or something? Is there someplace I can download them?
