Speed Modelling Challenge #160 – Grooming

Speed Modelling Challenge #160 – Grooming
    *************************************************
    Rules:

    1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
    2. Post a wire-frame and a render at 800x600 or larger.
    3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug ins are allowed.
    4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
    5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.
    *************************************************

This week's topic is: Grooming - anything you or your partner use for personal preening. Hairbrushes, gel/wax, make up, razors etc, etc.
Lets see how you manage to scrub up so well!

    Time Limit - 60 minutes.

    Deadline: Wed. 29th February 2012. 22:00 G.M.T

    Good subject Iain.

    Kicking off.

About 20mins, I dunno why but I had these flashbacks about a rambo knife.

Cracking start. Very clean modelling on the comb-makes me think of a mite I did for a previous challenge

    Cheers!
    Great model/render Creativetone. Very nice.

I've only ever used one of these once and I'd be wary to try it again, but it did work very well............

Here you go. My wife will not leave home without them!

54 mins modelling. 20 mins texture, rig (move pivot points) pose, render. Used one of Kuzey's metal textures for the plates (minus grunge and all that).

Thing is, it won't work, because if you pan the camera right you will see it has no plug (couldn't create one in 6 mins, I think).
