    Kittens need help!

The Haven Humane Society in Redding is currently accepting donations to help pay for the medical costs of several animals that were severely burned in the Carr Fire.

“A few of the injured kittens we are treating from the Carr Fire,” the Haven Humane Society shared on Facebook along with these photos. “Please send them your love!”

This is actually a positive addition.

My buddy Jonas was diagnosed with terminal cancer and given 5 weeks to live (that was Apr 1, 2018)
We opted for a mandiblectomy to save his life and he is doing freaking awesome almost 4 months later.
The experience sucked balls for us and for him, but he was worth the $$$$$ and the effort.
    F*CK CANCER!

This is Jonas now, “bunny kicking” the **** out of a tennis ball, and just being a normal cat.

very cool. in a couple weeks it will be a year since Baby Silvester was given a couple weeks and had nearly half his jaw replaced with plastic. Other then tipping his head to one side when he eats, he is just like he was before and doing totally well. Hell, they gave my mother 6 months about 5 years ago and at this point she has only slowed down just a bit. I don't think they are very good at those sorts of guesses. Maybe it's like Mr Scott from Star trak, they give you a really short date and a dire result, then look like a hero when that doesn't happen...... except he told them a long time and then got things fixed fast....

    Nice!
It is so good to hear that your cat is doing so well after a year!
There is very little information on the interweb about these things.
I made a point of contacting the specialist that did the operation, just to give them some positive news (I think I may have been the only one to ever do that judging by their reaction)

Cheers! Here’s to many more years with our furry friends.

Me and my cat Ginger. She's leach trained and very smart. That's because she grew up with a border collie.

We have catwalks in the main room and bedroom above door height. They both lead around a couple of walls to a crow's nest where they can sleep/hang out and survey their realm. The one in the bedroom actually leads to a floor to ceiling book case, the top three levels of which are now reserved for them.

And the gang of three wishes you all a Merry Christmas

My sisters petīs...sadly they have lost two other catīs this year and the year before, old age mostly.

The Catīs and the Dog are named after Disney characters, Maya 14 year, Pan 11 year, and Nellie 2 year.
Newly bathed for the family dinner at Christmas Eve, they were also forced by my niece to have a silly santa dress, except The old Lady Maya I think, she only had a nice red rosette which looks very pretty together with her white slight beige fur.

Maya always gives a high pitched squeel when she seeīs me, and always gives me a buffing kiss on my mouth or cheek, and also a slight bite in the nose to welcome me, shés a very soft going cat always liking to stroked.

The little kid in town, Nellie, she really doesnīt like to give a buff kiss with here nose towards any human face, occasionally she gives a strong buff with the top of her head against our heads just to please us, and she is not very fond of being stroked either..her back most often tries to avoid our hands in such case, but she is always on for hunting and playing ..so it is probably due to her being in that tense hunt mode, occasionally she can also enjoy a little stroke on the back when she is in the mood.

And the dog Pan, a tibetian terrier...he always barks loudly when anyone enters the house, and growling...but nothing agressive..itīs just how he believes he should behave, itīs easy to just kneel and pat him on his back and he emmediately starts to push his body towards you in enjoyment..still growling a bit, and when he jumps up in the sofa next to you..you just have to say...give me a kiss and his slimy tounge will be all over your face or in your ears.

So these petīs are a joy to be around.

We lost Dora's identical twin last month, and we're ready to get a younger cat, but not kitten, that doesn't threaten the hierarchical cat power structure.

Sorry to hear, always heartbreaking loosing a pet, especially if you have had them for 14 or 18 years.
I am a bit afraid of Maya 14 soon may be to old or get sick, she became bad mysteriously some months ago, not sure what is was..and she just recently lost a tooth.

After these petīs are gone, my sister says..no more petīs, sheīs a little fed up with cleaning etc..guess they leave a lot of hair, also tearing things up, so when the older pets dies, nellie will probably be around..but it is planned that my niece 27 year old, will take Nellie with her when she moves out from the house.

And yes..bringing in a kitten in with older cats may stir up the hiearchy, and the territory they consider is theirs, Maya 14 had difficulties accepting Nellie, and they didnīt get along that well...unlike the other cat Kajsa..who was the oldest, she accepted Nellie right away..all female, so a bit of a mystery to why kajsa accepted nellie, but not Maya.
But now since Kajsa passed away a couple of months ago, Maya has started to accept Nellie more.

Itīs fun to watch "Catīs from hell" Jackson Galaxy is good at what he does, fortunately...none of my family catīs have had any agression issue or peing issue o similar stuff, I had a cat that always ran away in the summer, she was gone for several months, and I think almost 6 months, and we though she was dead, but on the day after christmas eve..lots of snow outside..she was standing and scraping with her pawns on our balcony door, we let her in and she was completly crazy ...not knowing who she should buff and say hello to..she was so excited to be back again, she was also probably starved..since her belly was swollen, after that she had a great meal..then she stayed at home many days in the warmth of the home that christmas.
When the news about here coming home that day after christmas eve was known to my siblings, we all gathered for a celebration.
But some years later..she went on the road again, but this time she never came home, that is many many years now..I was lucky to have her for 18 years though, for a cat that isnīt only a home cat..I guess it is a long life.
