    hi

are ther any VIDEO tutorials that would teach me how to optimize rendering in terms of speed and quality. In the global illumination there are many settings that i dont understand how the work with eachother not to mention AA settings. I am not looking for tutorials where they explain like ... 'well specularity is a phenomenon where sun hits tralala...' but more like 'with these setting too high you wont get better renders, you will just increase render time and so on...'

i know this one, read it but video tutorials are much better beacuse you can see what they are doing on a practical level. how to set up materials or objects for grass or trees (something about global ilumination properties in object properties tab), this new aa sistem is also a bit confusing if you dont know what are you are doing, setting up light (sky, hdri, area...) and then optimising global illumination settings ... exterior settings, interior settings... and so on... i dont find lw renderer to be not as good as any other renderer but with my knowledge its slow to get a good quality

ha I cant open 2 layout or for some strange reason bullet dynamic tab goes for a walk "rendering dyn atm "

sorry you will need to wait 3hr until the render is finished ..

basically you make the env static , the ball rigid or kenectic select the mesh as sphere calculations are quicker than mesh if its Ball..

    OnlineRender,

you can't open two layouts because you're using the hub
just create another shortcut for layout.exe and in the properties after the "c:\program files..." add -0
this way you can open a new layout (you can do the same to modeler) but this layout won't be communicating with the rest.

No i am on 10.1. I found williams tutorial, but his doesn't show how to make the ball squash when it hit the ground.

    I wish I was on LW11.

you know that you can add in the shortcut -c"path to config files" this way you can be sure you're using the same config files (it can be useful to use different configs too)
