Nice tread, I'm keeping my eye on this one.
Been working with Maya for 6 years, just got back to Lightwave since
last month. Must say that Lightwave improved a lot

plg mentioned above also has a great polygon reduction plug that maintains UVs.

ef Pick Surface. In complex models with lots of surfaces it's tedious to find what surface a polygon is using. No more =)

    ------

    Auto Render Saver
I kept closing my rendered images then wanted to compare them with newer ones. This plug saves them automatically, it works with different color spaces too.

I use many more but this are some of my favorites.

yes, and both are among my favourite ones which have never been ported to mac - especially the PLG reduction tool is a real gem.

a few of my favourite ones - especially focused on archviz:

i recommend all svenarts scripts http://svenart.de/lscripts.htm - but especially useful for managing and optimizing large and complex scene is the scene2modeler combo. another incredibly useful one if you need to convert your scene for a render engine using polygons as lights, like kray or maxwell is the light2polys script. using both quite a lot.

another one which i'm using every day is ef itemfocus which you can find here: http://people.dsv.su.se/~dan-dulb/evenflow3d/index.php - it isolates the picked objects in a layout scene with one click and resets to the previous status with another. useful for fast test renderings or 'surgical' operations on single objects in a large scene... also checkout the ef solidoverlay - it simply creates a black opaque matte over the non visible areas in viewport.

ok, and a last one, from the huge and excellent collection of mike green's list http://www.mikegreen.name/LscriptsList.html is image2planes, which creates billboards in a one click workflow - incredibly useful if you need to setup those 2D viz people crowds...

    cheers

also found the http://www.mikegreen.name/Lscripts.html#LightMesh to be quite interesting :]
could be great for fake GI (raytracing only) (fast!)

Kray is becoming more useful as I progress through my shot plan and get to interior animated shots needing GI.

I used to be much more heavily reliant on the Worley plugins, but since they remain busted under Cocoa LW, I've been avoiding them.
