Exclamation Speed Modeling Challenge #138 – Medical Menagerie

Speed Modeling Challenge #138 – Medical Menagerie.
    ************************************************** ***
    Rules:

    1. Every week there will be a subject for you to model along with a time limit. You should spend no longer than the allocated time, then post a render of your model. As in most challenges like this, your honesty on modeling times is essential. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what is asked for.
    2. Post a wireframe and a render at 800x600 or larger.
    3. LightWave must be used for modeling. 3rd party Plug ins are allowed.
    4. You can enter as many times as you like, posting each in this thread. If you run over the time, the model can still be posted but won't be subject to the judging.
    5. Time spent on texturing, setting up a scene for a render and rendering is not included in the allocated period.

    ************************************************** *****

This week's topic is: Medical Menagerie.

Medical subject model can be any of three kinds: 1. Could be something the medical community uses to diagnose your problem. 2. Could be something the medical community uses to treat you. 3. Could be a piece of your anatomy…(inside or out), (G - rated only! ).

    Time Limit - 60 minutes.

    Deadline: Wed. 21 September 2011. 22:00 G.M.T.

Have people recovered yet from the last medical device contest?

Well, how embarrassing. I haven't been doing speed modeling very long. So I checked Iain's sticky post for medical themes and did a keyword search for medical in LW community. Looked like I was safe. If there is a desire to change the topic, I'll defer to the veterans. I'll wait to hear or otherwise, press forward. Sorry.

With any luck I might be able to come out of retirement at last and start joining in again.

    Nice work folks.
    Cheers Iain
I ran out of time for my MRI Machine. This is after an hour.
I am really out of practice, haven't touched Lightwave or any 3D in months.
I might just have to do something simpler for a while to get back up to speed
