    2011 Demo Reel

    Hello all,

    Here's my 3d modeling reel for 2011: http://vimeo.com/25237379

and my 3d rigging reel for 2011: http://vimeo.com/25249011

I like the quality of the video in Vimeo better than YouTube (although I have them posted there too ^_^).

    Feedback and/or jobs welcome...

I like the lawnmower character and the freedom of movement you gave the rig!... Cool stuff.

    I like it; nice work!
When you know you're a "cup half-full" kind of guy:

    "Sir; they've got us surrounded!"

"Excellent! Now we can attack in any direction!"

    My two cents
In the modeling reel: The models in general and character sheets are good, but you can improve the lighting and shading for sure without too much work, its not necessary the use of global illumination because it's a little bit risky with deformable objects as you see.You can use fill lights for color bleeding.
Definitely avoid this green floor, just use a subtle gradient, object diorama o a simple fade with fog, all this options looks better than this hard contrast horizon line.

In rigging reel: Definitely improve the performance of your capture;i know its because of capture frame rate of software but seems that some of your rigs a very slow and sluggish. Show more of this wired controls (facial things, and other funky stuffs) and push to the limit your controls more like in the mo:rig.

Wow! Thanks for the positives, guys.

Of course, this was one where I posted and after an hour of looking at it...looking at it...looking at it...... 'Man, I can do better than that...'

Lightmann, yours is the feedback I really needed. I will rework and repost when i have newer stuff.

Nice work. I too like the lawn mower chrarchter and that animation with the older guy was very nice in my opinion.

However, I also agree that the lighting and shading could be a little better.
