    My TriCaster TCXD300 doesn`t start!!!!

My Tricaster TCXD300 doesn`t start. I`ll describe the details.
I push the start button, so the three tally lights on front panel turns on in orange and the monitor keeps with no signal.
After a few seconds, Tricaster turns off automatically and reboot again with the same problem.
    The action repeats in loop.
    I need a solution urgently.

    Andy,

Try to restore the Tricaster pushing F8 before Windows start.

    Koinonia,
I have no signal in my monitor, what makes me think the BIOS doesn`t start too. Maybe I`m wrong.

Anyway, I`ll try to do what you said, right now!
I`ll say the result in few minutes.

I just received an email from Joshua Garcia, Support Analyst of NewTek Tech Support. And I decide to share the information.

    "Andy,
Most commonly we have seen that if the BIOS gets reset, the SATA Configuration will be set to AHCI causing the system to reboot itself over and over. Follow the instructions below to set the SATA drive to it's proper setting:

Press the power button on your XD300 system to begin powering it on, then immediately begin pressing the Delete key on the keyboard repeatedly. The system should boot into the BIOS mode. Once in the BIOS, navigate to the "Main" tab, then inside Main, to "Storage Configuration" and press Enter. You will see an option labeled "SATA Configuration" make sure that option is set to "IDE."

Let me know if your problem persists.

    Josh"

    Thanks for NewTek

I've seen this problem often, but on 3Plays, not TriCasters. Some early 3Plays had a "self destruct" button on the back. ( ok... it was a bios reset button...but if you pressed it your 3play wouldn't work. ) NewTek immediately de-activated the button, then switched to a motherboard that doesn't even have the button.

Andy: Does your TriCaster have a green button on the back of the machine? I've never seen a TriCaster built on this motherboard, but it would be good to know if NewTek did actually use this motherboard on some TriCasters.

Did the bios setup solve your problem?

After some tries, the monitor start to get signal of bios startup. So I change the bios setup and the problem is solved!
