.mov file dropped on timeline has no sound

Curiously I dropped a .mov on to the timeline for editing just now and it had no sound.

When i play it externally the sound appears to be in one channel.

What can i do to make SE recognise that channel at least ?

    Cheers

I am a fool. This is the wrong thread for this and I solved this by going into the right thread and finding it was a settings issue under preferences.

Right at the bottom you will find enable AAC stuff. Turn that on... No problem!

If someone runs into this issue and still can't get audio to work for .MOV files, check the version number of SE that you're using. There's a bug in SE 1.5 that keeps it from loading the associated audio from certain cameras (like the Kodak Zi6).

This was fixed in SpeedEdit version 2.x.
