Thread: 1960s style

    1960s style

I've always loved the 60's style and design. Especially after seeing the show Mad Men, I wanted to do a scene in that style. I finally got around to making something. Any comments welcome.

    Wonderful concept Jason.
Mad Men is my favourite TV show.

I think you have captured the colour and design flair of that period perfectly. The main image could possibly benefit from some desaturation (and maybe even a little -dare I say it-chromatic aberration, however, just to give it that vintage feel.

Love the details, especially the book!

Thanks guys. I think it's my favorite show as well Iain.

Recently I've had a little spark for doing some renders. Its funny about the color, I actually had it more saturated but lessened it a bit. I hear you about the chromatic abberation. I thought about it. I decided to go for a slightly illustrative style(saturated color, clean, crisp, etc..) Plus i think the whole CA thing is way overdone sometimes.

    Superb

Your textures are fantastic. Care to share where did you got them ?

Thanks. I've built up a library of textures over the years, so its hard to say where I got them. Google image search for most of them...mayang.com, animax.it
