Thread: "Five Point Sphere"/ "3 point circle"

  1. #31
I modified my 3 point disk script to do that. See the attached lscript. I did not have time to fully test it but it appears to work. Also, you will need to select 3 points as opposed to a triangle polygon. I might enhance that in the future. Phew, I already forgot most of this lscript stuff

Goodness me Art, that was FAST!

Will grab my laptop shortly and give it a test.

Thanks very much, I appreciate your efforts.

Looking good Art, does exactly what I'd hoped for. Cheers.

I did notice that there's a line in the code which identifies it as '3 point disk' in the menus (@name 3 Point Disk), so I changed that to @name Disk In Triangle.

That's about the extent of my programming skills right now!

    Thanks again.

Ah, yes, thanks for catching that. As I said, I reused my previous script (most of the code) and I forgot to change the menu name. I hope you will find it useful.

It will be very useful, thanks.

Showing my age, but I leasrned to do all this stuff manually with a ruler and compass....
Turning it into code is a whole different ball-game.

If it's of use to anyone I posted the source to my original 3PointCircle plugin on github a few years ago:

    Cheers,
