That is very nice well done.

two 2 thing i think could be better is one just me i think that the guns could be 50% bigger. two i dont see the point of the rails and stairs in spcae people may walk out there to fixe the ship but it wouldnt be a rail and stair it would be handle bars.

I cant wait to see the with it texture and a beside the other ship. do you plan on making a animation?

    Hello

I am planning on making a battle scene with them.

Actually the ship mainly stays in orbit. So people can still walk out when theres gravity. I didnt make the guns very big, because the ship appears bigger with smaller guns imo.

As for the guns ok i get that it does make it look bigger
for the railing yes but you would need engines on the bottom of the ship for that to work (in orbit or falling you dont have gravity) well you kinda do if theres atmosphere but not much.

Asome i want to see a the battle scene can you show me how to make weapon fire? thats the one thing that always hold mes back on space battle scenes. acn find a tutorail on it.

Skywalker - yup, lot's of starships. I guess it pretty shows the way people spent their Christmas vacation

On your cruiser: there's one thing that discomforts my eye, if I may say so: more-or-less heavy and power-consuming universal cannons are stuck to the relatively thin lower armour deck. (you can clearly see it on the 5th image). First of all, it gives an impression of a certain toyness, since there's no visual feeling that there's much more of that gun somewhere else - on the contrary, you can see it completely. And, in terms of survivability, it's more logical to have these guns attached to the upper deck and protected by the lower deck - this way some damage to the lower armour layer would not destroy the cannon at once. To sum it up, why don't you place these guns upside down, making them hang from the ceiling rather than just put them on the floor?

Add to that what looks like an array of fans on the under side!

With that said, this looks great! Great modeling job!

    Thanks for the comments!

I made a sunset scene and did a few renders.

Please tell me what you think. I want it to look as real as I can. Will normal maps benifit? Should I use any specular maps?

Adding some paneling would help. If this was a real ship it's really unlikely that the hull would be made of such large single pieces of metal.

Vary up the color and paint job too. I would reference navy ships. Adding some signage would help too.
