    Advice

Hi, well ive got my knight mostly set up and working fairly well. but i had a bit of a problem with the skirt. been playing with cloth fx and just not getting the results im wanting.

my method was two ways. One tried skirt with the knight object using weight maps for collisions. was to tasking for my machine probably had stuff set wrong kept crashing,
two separated the skirt and parented it to the knight and put collision objects parented to the legs. didn't get to great of results there probably set up wrong although i was getting some deflection.

then i thought why mess with cloth fx, just put bones around the skirt separate little weight maps and just tweek as needed. this as i just tested out will work fine.

before i go and toss in the towel on cloth fx any one seen a up to date tute on setting up this type of stuff. i looked for a bit, and most are older stuff. Or is it just not worth the hassle?

    Thanks
    Kevin

This tutorial is nice. At the end where he's animating the cape he talks about a way to deal with imperfect collisons using nulls.
