    Heroes and Monsters

Well I've posted this in the general discussion forum, but got no replies. Perhaps this is a better place (although most works here aren't LW).
    Anyway...

IAC - The Israeli Animation College is having a competition entitled "Heroes and Monsters".
Students were asked to create their own interpretation of either a hero or a monster (or both).
Entries were made using various techniques, from traditional oil painting to Maya, ZBrush, Poser and LightWave.

You can view the entries on Facebook and cast your vote by clicking "Like".
You may "like" as many images as you want.

For high resolution images, you may click here, or you can view all images on Picasa.
The images will also be displayed on an exhibition at Icon TLV - the Israeli Scifi/Fantasy Festival.
It's probably worth mentioning that the current leader in the competition was done using LightWave.

Here are some images from the competition:

We'd love to hear what you guys think about the works and which ones you like the most.

A few more images have been posted to the competition.
So if you already checked it out, please stop by once more (and skip to the last 6 images).
And if you haven't - well, what are you waiting for?

Dimo and fat Iron Man are my faves. Good job to everyone involved in the creation of all of these.

    Thanks guys!
If there's anyone here from Israel (or planning a trip to Israel), be sure to check out our exhibitions at Icon TLV Festival, openning this Saturday night.

Plus, check out our second exhibition, "Fragments of Reality", presenting the fantastic (thers's a double meaning here) works of Anat Dayag, a garduate of IAC.
Here are some images from Anat Dayag:

    Winners announced!

    So, the contest is over.
Three winners were selected by a committee of industry professionals (including an animator who worked on "Avatar"), and three others were selected by facebook fans.

    The results are here:
