LW Water Shader renders with black lines

    Hi Everyone,

I have a really annoying problem with te water shader in lightwave 9.6, I have made a ocean and used the LW shader, played around to get the look and feel, but when I render it their are thin black lines and sometimes white specs in the render, As I watch it render it makes the image then seems to add them in at the end.

If I turn of the LW Water shader and switch to fast fresnel then the lines are gone.

Plus when I package the scene and take it home to work on The shader settings reset themselves and I have to turn them on.

At work I use a mac intel and at home a PC intel.

Do you have multiple layers of the water object? I was thinking one layer might cut into the other....causing the effect, something like this:

    No but thanks

I am using the tutorial from simply lightwave ocean.
One object with displacment map, so I turned off all displacments and anything on surface. Still lines, and they are not on geometry. I first thought part of reflection or reflection Angle.

To be honest I need help and I can wait till november(lightwave 10). for bug fix of this.

More important is I have a beautiful project I am working on in Amsterdam and could do with help to make better. They have an educational maritime museum I am creating for one of there rooms a panoramic sea voyage.

Basiclly a room 20 m in lenth 4 wide shaped like a running rack(a boat) we will project on all the walls a sea voyage, panoramicly.

we are to tell a story off the early voc untill the second world war.

if your interested in helping please email me,

Ultimate creativity on a project that will be there for at least 30 years.

I would try switching Render Globals > Threads to 1 to see whether it's multi-threading issue..
