    They do?

hmmm...wonder if there are any rental options, just to see if it works with LW or Maya.

optitrack is designed for use with maya and motion builder. Not sure about LW.

I attended Siggraph and was impressed with Newtek's presence. Newtek had a big booth and alot of Newtek staff there. Their staff seemed more down to earth and honest than that of other companies.

Oh yeah, I had some conversations with some of the NT programmers at the party. Extremely friendly and fun to talk with!

There's a Core preview on YT:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCRAV4YZVKY

Not sure if that's gonna be shown @ Siggraph?

That is really amazing, I think those are the best pieces of work that have ever been created in LW. NT would be insane not to show that in their demo reel or at SIGGRAPH... But it should be. Stunning work...

Except that it was made with maya.

    without plugins?!

    I don't think so.

Seriously though here's hoping Newtek has more up their sleeve than yet another demo of VPR and the two to three other "new" features they've been showing us since LAST Siggraph.

Oh I'm so horrible and negative. It's only because I want them to prove me wrong!

Me too, I think I was doing it in my first week with LW about 10 years ago.

"LW was capable 10 years ago?" Yes, that's true.

They'd still show it and claim it was made in LW (even if only part of it was, lol).
