Thread: does LW9.5 wrap textures differently from LW7.5

    does LW9.5 wrap textures differently from LW7.5


    I upgraded to LW9.5 recently; today I am exporting a LW scene to SW3d for Director ( something I did very often in LW7.5 );

    in 7.5 I would non-uv wrap ( planar, cylindrical, whatever ) textures, then create a uv texture map, bake my image onto the uv map, apply the new baked image to my model with uv projection;

    then I would export to sw3d for Director, and everything would be as expected;

    however, today things are different ...
    1 - non-uv projection/wrapping is unusually difficult ( an image wrapped around a 4-sided column has always been fairly straightforward );
    2 - and importantly, once I open my models in Director, the uv-mapped textures are oriented very differently, upside down and inverted it seems;

    at this point I am wondering if the issue is how LW7.5 and 9.5 handle wrapping and SW3D exporting???

    any thoughts?

    a 4 sided column is a box ?! in that case cubic projection should do the trick...
    about the other stuff I don't really know sorry, although I have used Director MX in the past.
