Thread: Advice Needed.

    Advice Needed.

I always have problems when modeling Characters.
What do you think I'm doing wrong with this? too much detail too soon?
What would be the approch that you would follow to complete this character?

Small update to my previous post.
I have the complete body blocked, but I still feel it looks amorphous.

I'll do some work on the face and hands and then return to the details.

    Any comments?

First I would like to say I envy your drawing skills from that character sketch.

There are no biceps. The arms look like they go from the shoulder straight into the elbow.

The scale of some of the parts may seem off if you were modeling him nude, but if you are going to be turning this rough shape into the actuall clothing then you are on the right path. The clothing isn't going to conform exactly to the anatomy, unless he is supposed to be a superhero or something wearing a body stocking.

Thanks for your comments Dexter, I actually forgot to mention that it was not me who drew this. My Friend Javier (http://www.fotolog.com/jagama42) came up with the character and he requested a 3D version of it.
He asked me to model it nude, although the final character will have clothes (I have no idea how to add clothes to a nude model). I will take your comments in account and do the proper changes. Here's what I have right now.
