    Need help with animating a building

    Hi there might be the wrong place to post but here goes -

    I want to create a scene where a building builds up from ground level in an animation. is there an easy or quicker way of doing this wihout animating every brick etc.

    Thanks in advance

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

    You could do it nodally in the deform node ed (dponts nodes if you have them) or you could do it with surfaces and weightmaps tied to gradients on the transparency channel.

    Actually I did this ..
    And when rendered animation ..
    I rendered it in reverse..
    Intel Core i7-980, OC 4.7ghz water cooled.
    Gigabyte x58-UD3R with an Intell SSD 180GIG
    RamCorsair-DDR3-1600-32GIG
    Nvidia Titan Z, x 2 And 1 GTX-1080 by Gigabyte.

    Hmm, I am not quite sure how much details you want with the brick animation, but have you thought about using hard body dynamics to destroy the building and then run the animation in reverse?

    Depends on the effect you're trying to achieve, but with some careful layering you can get pretty nice results using clipmaps; see Mark Dunakin's old (but still excellent) tutorial here:
