    Registration transfer

I am thinking about selling my copy of Speed Edit 1.0 and before I do does anyone know if the serial numbers transfer over to the new owner If I do?

You'll want to take this question up with Customer Service. It's a free call in the US.

Please note that upgrade requires that you own the full version.

You can't sell the original full version and continue using the upgrade.

Understood. I would think the new owner could upgrade correct? I did call also into Newtek but am waiting back for information.

Yes, however, the ability of the user to upgrade to "free 2.0" depends on when the 1.0 was first registered, by anyone.

If you registered two years ago, that copy of SE will need a paid upgrade even for the new owner.

There are some 'non-transferable' licenses out there, which is why I encourage checking details with CS before making any deals.

Fwiw, you can buy SE 1.0 from an authorized reseller for $379 while they last (add to cart to see price). And this should qualify for the free upgrade to SE 2.0.

I wonder if that can be upgraded or not? I saw on there website 2.0 selling for 995 or something like that. I was planning on selling for 200 to 300 then even with upgrade for buyer still are 200 or so under buying it outright.
