    Windows 7 64 bit and Lightwave 8

Following on from a post I made the other day regarding 64 bit systems I think i will now be upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit.

I use LW 8 and wondered if it will run ok on this set up.
Will the plug-ins that come with it run ok and will I have to do anything with the dongle?

It should work okay. I think you may need to update to the latest Sentinel drivers for the dongle for Windows 7 64-bit and if you are using LightWave 8.5 you can use a 64-bit version of LightWave instead of 32. Of course, then you will need 64-bit versions of the plugins too.

If you are using a previous version of LightWave [8], the upgrade to 8.5 is free for LightWave 8.x owners. If you live in the US it will be on your account at http://register.newtek.com, if you live in Europe you will find it here.

    Thanks Ben.
Ive just realised our paths have crossed before! (Asylum 3D)

    Couple more questions:

1.I also have Lightwave 7.5...would that run in 32 bit mode on Windows 7 64?

2.Where do I go to update the latest sentinal drivers should I need them?

    Thanks

    Matt
