    Question how do you make an object look like a ghost?

    I have a character that I want to make a ghost. I want the edges to be opaque and get transparent in the middle. Anyone know what surface settings i should use to achieve this or any other ghostly look?

    You could applay a gradient to the transparency channel...Set input parameter to incidence angle, make new gradient key at 90 deg and give it a value of 100%, key at 0 deg should have value 0% if you want to have edges opaque. You may want to add some more keys depending on what effect you want to achive.

    Make a gradient in the transparency channel and set it to Incedent Angle, and have it go from 100% trasp to 0%, play around with that and i think it should give u the opaque edges.

    I'll have a go myself to make sure my info aint bad

    Umm... how about using Edge Transparency? (Surface Editor/Shaders/Edge_Transparency)
