    Tour Send-off

    Intense rainfall early this morning caused some concern, but the clouds lifted just in time for setup to begin for NewTek’s Bon Voyage to HD MINI as it heads to the stream kick-off event in Los Angeles Tuesday. You can see images from this morning’s event on Flickr:

    One lucky tour attendee is going to win a complete production package including TriCaster BROADCAST, 3 Canon camcorders and Vinten tripods, worth $44,995, so be sure to go to http://www.streamordie.com/ to sign up for your nearest tour stop.

    I'd say best of luck, but with such a great product like the XD300 you won't need luck!
    Except be careful that nobody steals that thing.

    Good luck would be to win XD300 with Canon Cameras...
    ... much better than TC Broadcast with 3 Canon Cameras.

    Sucks that the tour is not going to be near anyplace I will be over the next couple of weeks. Great opportunity for someone that lives close. But I question why Newtek would exclude about 85% of there customer base from participating in this event.

    I guess the principal reality is that the United States is a VERY large country, and there are only so many places that can be visited in a month.

    The secondary reality is that we are driving a loaded down MINI Cooper across the country and since the tour planning began months ago, we had NO idea what the weather would be like in the northern states - touring is nice, but we couldn't risk placing the crew in danger with the possibility of ice or snow, which is common in November.

    NewTek authorized resellers will have their own XD300 units pretty soon, so you will be able to stop by and get an hands-on demo in short order!

    Paul and I are about the same height and believe it or not there is plenty of room inside the Mini.

    Their mini has a sunroof actually. We had to close up the back part but the glass above the front seats is fully functional.

    @Paul & SBowie

    Does the gang want some new FX for their tour? CarFX comes to mind, LOL.

    Cury Rims™ would approve.
