I have started on building a ghost ship that I want to get done by Halloween.
I had the cannon built from this weeks Speed Challenge. A long way to go yet

Just finished this grate/grid. And a bit of detail on the fore mast

The deck is not fitted fully, I`ll trim it to shape once the hull is finished.

Hehe...just treat each session as a speed modelling challenge and you should be fine

Thats the plan anyway and to apply what I learnt from the speed modeling to this project.
There is a lot more that you need to keep in your head all at once in this though.

A few more bits added. some of the ratlines(I think they are called), and a second mast and a second deck roughed in.

Richard if you're good self or indeed anyone else needs resources includeing ship plans you can place on Z - X corodinates in order to build ship models then a peep at an old game forum I used to partake in may be helpful to any prospective ship builders...

The above link to Flying Labs shipbuilders forum is well worth a look for any model builder at any level of skill be you really good like a lot on here seem to be or be you very newb like meself. Lots of links to resources and many threads of tips and tricks to puruse.

Love the ship so far by the way is it based on a light frigate I think they were called French Pinks.

Edit - I see from post #13 that its not a light frigate, too many gun ports 66 in all when playing the game at above links a long time back in one of the PvP large battles I took my little 10 gun ship with its lil 6 and 8 pounders up against a 74 gun ship of the line and due to the fact I stuck to its stern area where it only had 4 gun ports I wore it down rather well Mind you there were 20 odd other players on my side also pecking away at the monster hull hehe.
