You may want to check some of the hidden folders called NewTekInfo folders. You will have to turn on show hidden files to see them. You can also check the cache folders at the root of the D: drive.

I have seen this if you just reboot and shutdown the system after installing the patch. You can restore then re install the patch. Just make sure to shut down and leave the unit off for a minute...
If we can confirm its just the fan we can RMA it to tech support and we can turn that around pretty quickly since its just a card or fan replacement with no real troubleshooting.
Yeah had a few report something like that happening and it was due to not powering off after the install. They were rebooting sometimes in the end of the install instead of letting it finish.

Hey Papaulo do a restore then re apply the patch. At the end make sure you do not just reboot you have to power it off. You will see it say this at the end of the install.

Was the registration code not being accepted? Did you also disable uac and any anti virus during the installation and registration process.
