Are you able to render to one of the NewTek codecs? Is QT still installed?
If you need to reinstall QT you can safely do so for editing as long as you don't apply the browser plugins.
You can go to device manager and open up "Sound, video and game controllers" and look see what chipset your audio card uses. Right click on that and select Properties. Under the Driver tab it will...
Maybe need to update audio drivers?
Glad you got it sorted.
I don't have the install order in my head. I'd have to search to forum for it. But its in there somewhere
Well, that sucks.
Are you rendering with the same codec each time?
If it is one of the NewTek codecs you could try reinstalling the NT Video Codecs.
Also running a virus check and adware check may clean up...
Still using SE 2.5. I bought HitFilm as a companion compositor (which I recommend BTW) and if I have to edit in 4K, I have to use HitFilm.
But . . . . I can drag a 4K .mov file from my GH4 onto...
@pnelson Talk to these guys...https://fxhome.com/
HitFilm is the bomb compositor that SE needed . . . . but on the flip side their editor needs help, big time.
In my dream world I would edit...
Not to mention, you might point out to your client that Flash is essentially a dead format (swf, flv). It is on the verge of being deprecated as a delivery format due to security issues. Firefox...
Awesome! Glad you figured out a workaround.
Hey Travis,
I have never had good luck exporting to mp4 from SE. I always have to render to avi as Speed HQ or DV Type 2 as a master. Then transcode to mp4 using either MPEG Streamclip or...
I would give NT support a call on this one. If you've paid for it, then downloads should show up.
"You can edit like you think..." <----!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, Philip . . . there's your marketing phrase!
But this is absolutely true. I can do a lot of "what ifs" with SE that I can't do...
Still using SE. Fast, easy, bakes its own bread . . .
Seriously, when I need a quick fix or doing long format, SE is my first choice.
You're preaching to the converted here, Phillip.
Please march across the hall and let the powers that be know we're still out here and there is still a market!
I use it for documentary work. (obviously quick demos and 30 sec spots are a breeze) On the timeline it is so easy to slide clips around and do a lot of "what if's".
Of course, like any...
Gotta pile one here. (Thank god the forum is back up)
SpeedEdit is still my go to editor, period! At least as long as I'm doing 1080. For god sakes! Please, please tell the powers that be at...
Coolish!
Good to know to look out for DirectX weirdness in Win 8.
Glad you got it going.
The hacker in me says find the .dll on your old system and copy it over to your new system. Which may or may not work.
(Still running Win 7 myself.)
Does the error say which dll is missing?...
Well worth the $30. The aircraft models look to be in good shape.
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, I've been looking into maybe doing something along the hybrid route where we archive to removable hard drive. Then once that's full, mirror the drive and then copy it to LTO...
My current day job is in IT at a university where I am in charge of storage. I'm currently trying to redesign storage workflow for the department that handles video production on campus. They...
Signed up a again, as well.
The whole deal is kind of squirrelly, but $30 bucks to save time on not having to build one or two of these models is still worth it. Hope it goes through this...
Yeah . . . . what Shabazzy said.
This looks to be the year that I have to re-tool both hardware and software. Not looking forward to doing without SE.
