If anyone is still interested, I have posted a 34-part tutorial for creating a serenit mesh in Lightwave. they are all posted here:

Yes! Thank you!
That would require me to make a face hugger. Right now I'm working on a Serenity/Firefly tutorial.
Thanks! I'm doing it to challenge myself and prove to myself that I can do it.
Well, maybe not all of them.... :D Yeah, I'm still actually working on the blade runner fan film. If the director can get some free time soon episode one should be done. ...
Well... think it's about complete. Took a three layers of passes and about 3 hours to render.

Great poly flow there. I'm duly impressed. :)

A guy over...
I was going to ask you if you needed any references, but it doesn't look like it. :D
If you do I have about 180 reference images (10.6MB)
Yeah, about 200-300MB worth. I could gather together some of the best ones, and post an archive file for you on my website. Do you have broadband internet access? If not I can make smaller zip...
If you'd like to play with it, the mesh is posted over at Lightwave Group:

Don't doubt yourself. You're doing really well on this mesh so far.
The mesh and polyflow are very good so far, but you've yet to get to the really tough parts, so don't get discouraged.
