Yuletide blessings to you all, and have a Merry Christmas.
Sad to hear about Jeremy Bulloch.
I never met him, but do have an autographed photograph of Boba Fett.
His voice is the voice of Fett. I can't stant the redubbed lines with the actor from the...
Thank you so much for all your help, Sensei.
I followed your video at the weekend, and managed to get the 'straight' source code to compile successfully. There were so many settings needing...
Thank you very much for this.
I shall tackle this over the weekend.

Well that probably shouldn't be a surprise, but it's also a bit offputting, as it gives me reason to think that the entire SDK documentation is 20 years out of date, and someone like me who is coming...
Thanks Sensei.
I'd like to think we're (well, you're) getting close to solving this. I have followed your points, and built up a screen grab of each stage so you can see if or where I'm going...
Hi Sensei,
Thanks for that. I have mde some progress.
I'm on LW2019, so am using lwsdk2019.0. Hopefully that isn't contributing to any issues.
"Ernie's original link is down. So I assume you...
Thank you so much Sensei, I'm guessing those changes are to do with an evolving SDK or something?
All error messages are now gone.
My next issue is when I am compiling it. I was getting a...
Thanks Prometheus, they look really nice. I might have a play with that a bit sooner rather than later.
:) Thought so. Oh well, will leave that for another day then...
Actually, while people are discussing Physical Sky, what's the best way to combine it with clouds?
I don't think it can be combined with the clouds of Skytracer (or can it?) so do we make our own...
Hi All,
I'm taking beginner steps in coding, and am trying to make a simple modification to this plugin for my work.
I am using the x64 version of the AreaVol plugin which (according to the...
Great idea... I'll try that as soon as I know how to..
;)
Phew.
I had an uneasy sense I was missing something really obvious...
Cheers!
Afternoon,
I've always meant to get into coding, but have never really had the time to invest. I'm having another attempt, and am working through the LScript manual. I'm a bit confused though.

Think of the Make UVs as the standard image projections - Planar, cylindrical, spherical, etc - and saving the projection as a UV map.
For a more visual and interactive process, try the Texture...
Thanks for linking to that video by DJ Waterman. I used to think the copy/paste UV buttons were broken too, but that video showed me that I was just misunderstanding their purpose.
I was going to...
I think it was William Vaughn who also used to pull an object into a flat net using cloth dynamics to get a smooth UV map.
I'm not near my laptop, but there is a UV tool which may help called 'straightener' or 'rectangularise'... Something like that.
Use the ABF unwrap, then use this tool to square it up.
Going by your initial description, Icon Kid, I wondered if it might have been a video showing dynamic parenting, but after your recent post, I'm doubtful.
I'm curious to know what technique or...
Ahh.. I see what you were saying in post #3. It just took a while for me to grasp what you were saying.
Ah well, the solution I was hoping for clearly isn't as simple as 'make a list of parts...
I already use a different OpenGL texture compared to rendering texture in some instances using this....
Wouldn't that work?
Thanks for looking into this Sensei,
My plan was that if I could access the various parts I wanted (probably half a dozen at most) using a separate instance of a node which allowed me to pick each...
Hi,
I'm wondering if any programmers would be able to create a (hopefully simple) node. Despite my best intentions over the years, I've never had the time or ability to learn coding for writing LW...
I don't have any experience in working in a large studio, so can't comment on pipeline features which may or may not be there, but two things I'd say would help tremendously is promotion of the work...
