Already saving my pennies.....
ClothFX would be great, if they updated it, specially if they could make it work with the new dynamics. But it is far too slow at simulation.
3950 is the next gen threadripper
Intel has good cpu's but for the price, AMD is better, IMO
Timeline scrubbing as well as the need to select objects in a particular order for it to work..if you muck that up you have to start from scratch...at least with the demo version I was trying. ...
One thing I've found is that when working in Modeler, if I get a crash report window, before clicking on that I hit the save object button, then make my choice in the crash requester.
Im not surprised either. Apple has been fixated on AMD for a long time, Mac Trash Can only had AMD gpu, no Nvidia option.
I used to use Mac...but in all honesty I dont see going back, for...
Checked and I can also reproduce this issue
For my own experience, I say Marvelous Designer. Syflex is very picky, and one wrong click you have to start all over. I havent tried Blender's cloth, so cant say on that.
LW's ancient clothfx...

Yup, I saw those and I even have a genoma version of the rig. I made my own so that I know why each bone and controller is there and how they are relating to each other. Genoma puts alot of bone...

I tried the syflex demo, but it was too finicky..one thing selected in the wrong order and you had to start over. Maybe it was a limitation of the demo, but I also couldnt get it to do a simulation...

Been working on getting the bangs to obey dynamics..without diving into the forehead and getting stuck.
Ha...yup, it is a double edged sword...prolly has a pointy end too...hehe.
Part of the problem s that FFX is relatively ancient..and I think that other than some stability fixes, they havent really dug in to get it modernized. Of course, we could also benefit from GPU...
I did look at cpu and memory being used and there wasnt an issue that I could see. When it happens it consistant within the scene...meaning I can clear the scene, quit layout, start again, load the...
Solid mode really hits the render time cause its crreating a volume, basically. Too much of a hit to really be useful, imo...unless you have a renderfarm.
Ohh...lol..misread that....perhaps I'll try setting my scene to that...see how long it takes..hehe.
20 million? not sure about that...not sure i have 20 million hairs on my head...lol.
The antialiasing is always something that more is needed...would be nice if we could allow different objects...
its a very simple scene..ground plane, figure, fiber objects... Deactivating the eyebrows allows the scene to go all the way.
Tomorrow im gonna remake the eyebrows so it has fewer...
I have a sequence I've been trying to render as a test...but it keeps stalling...not crashing, but stalling.
I've narrowed it down to one object..or rather one area..the object doesnt seem to make...
I have mine set ay 80% translucency, no gradient (though i might give that a shot)..and I'm using spot lights with full gi and am getting a decent render time..12 minutes for the back veiw..4 for the...
