    I’ve noticed that the color will go more towards the color of the color picker if you turn off ( disable ) the “Normalize” in the Light Panel Properties. It’s still a bit of but it matches more....

    I thought the "Smooth keys" option in the Octane Gradient was the way to have either step or a smooth falloff. Didn't test if my presumption is correct... I don't mind that Octane uses its own nodes...
