I think the fluid motion looks a lot better now than I've seen in previous examples - so well done for the simulation improvements. But, agreed exposing the motion vectors should be the next thing to...
Never used that feature, so it will be interesting to see the results! ;)
SO...during me looking into getting a better hair sim next time, I've worked out a multi step process/faff to getting dynamic hair guides from Blender and into Layout (Crappy proof of concept...
Thanks for your feedback - much appreciated. I didn’t notice any issue with the arms at the time, but I suspect any invisible object clinging is due to having IK arms. What I should have done in...
I finally got around to finishing a little animation I've been working on a while. (Obviously could do more do it, but got to end somewhere). It started life as a bit of testing - not really planned...
Although turbulence can't use weight maps, it can generate smoke from particles. You could try to use some of the new mesh info nodes to calculate the distance from the base points to the deforming...
Ah right...did not know that about bdd files...I will investigate the rogue piece!
Thanks Denis!
Does anyone know if it possible with some node trickery to use a dynamics proxy object, to drive a high poly version - in particular a parts dynamics one?
I've tried a few ways, came close with...
No pleasing some people! :P
I really enjoyed the film, the predictable dialogue didn't bother me at all, because somehow they managed to make me feel something for a CG character - I forgot about...
I think people should use whatever tools they feel most comfortable with to create their artwork. The more time fighting technical considerations, the less artistry flows in IMO. David is so fluent...
Appreciated the use cases mentioned. Hopefully we will see native support at some point, but in the meantime I’m pleased there are other solutions for Lightwave, something that a little while back...
Is it a big draw back not having 'true' sub pixel displacement though? Octane (I have a license) has it in Lightwave, but the amount of use cases where I've needed it has been limited at best. It's...
How did you export the MDD/Model? Was it from layout or another application? Does it look ok importing the same object and mdd into layout?
Hey that sounds pretty cool actually. I am also just venturing into Python, but I started in Modeler as I thought that would be easier. Turns out its seen as 'an advanced topic' according to the...
Well I figured out why things were going so badly wrong! You have to remove from the map definition any bones not in use, then it worked OK! I guess that should have been obvious - DOH!
Thanks for the suggestion, but still get nothing except the root moving. I would have at least expected the 'wrong' joints to move if the mapping was off.
What's a bit of a shame is that I found...
I've been trying to get Rhiggit to work with a BVH Mocap (the motion builder friendly ones) file from CMU website, but I don't seem to be able to get a working re-targeting map. Always results in...
I don't think it matters which 3D software you use, there is always going to be bugs and issues, due to the complexity of them. For the most part, there is usually some kind of work-around, even for...
That's a pretty good result considering it was made with a few photos and of differing lens types. I was also expecting you to have to process the photos more in the software, but the automatic...
I think it was one of the first projects I used turbulenceFD on. In retrospect, yeah I would agree the smoke should have had more details and darker generally. I think my model scale might have been...
I did a similar thing a while ago, I spent around 10 days on it I think. So for budget wise, I would quote 10 * daily rate + contingency.

That’s great enough folks have bought in to get a decent discount. Unfortunately I’ll have to sit this one out as I have other financial priorities this month :(
Ok, thanks for confirming. :)
We’re back to 3....for now.
Looking really interesting!
How much is an upgrade from version 1 of the plugin?
