easy mesh would benefit from snapping (to grid,to point etc)
it would seem that lightwave renders slower in windows 10. the hub sync is also a known
issue in win 10.
not tried with compatibility mode. wonder if any better?
btw, you can easily make win 10...

Retaining Standard materials and saving in the LWO 2015.3 format would be advantageous, so you don't trash existing content and can render without modification. Not everything requires a full pbr...
so what is the best bang for buck cpu setup these days?

i had a go with obj, ply, fbx, dae. no luck as the pointcloud may have vert data but it has no material.
