Love it! The pants hiked way up is brilliant, but what really makes it work is his expression. You totally nailed the sad and lonely look.
Very well done! Hope to see more soon.

Dude... SWEET!
Thanks!
Looking good, man!
I love coffee, and lightwave, and anything retro...
This one post has it all.
Keep going, man. Great work so far!
I'm not sure how I feel about the car not being a DeLorean...
Sounds like a fun project either way. Good luck with it.
And if you're going to have a different car, who can complain about a Lambo?...
Haha! I'm hoping to be around a lot more lately.
Still got lots of tricks to share...
I don't know of a way to do that, but there's a quick and easy workaround...
Let lathe do a full 360 with 1 additional segment than you want in final, and delete that last extra segment.
Thanks!
The texture in the 3D model was done (poorly) with displacement maps.
I didn't have enough time to make a better scale-y texture, so I relied on the printing process itself to help out a...
Thanks, Kuzey! It was lots of fun.
(everybody I work with is totally sick of me showing them around the office)
3D print from a Lightwave model using Shapeways...
It was a "secret santa" gift for someone over at ConceptArt.com
They're supposed to be rings, but they're a bit bulky for that.
The black...
The modeling, rendering, compositing, camera match-move, all of it, top notch. Looks great!
And it's always awesome to have your stuff on network telly to be seen by all. You just can't beat that....
Sounds like you might have duplicate polys.
Thanks, Borkus. People just don't design things like this anymore.
There's lots more being worked on; a fridge, microwave, blender, all the other usual kitchen stuff (as well as the kitchen itself)....
Here's a stove I'm working on for a short film.
It's a (fictional) '53 Brunsen Keigler.
Loosely based on my O'Keefe Merritt from the same time period.
Lots more to do, but done enough to play with...
Yeah, now that I've looked at the links, I had completely missed the intent of the original post.
Nevermind. (But thanks for the quick response!)
Could somebody please post some examples of the difference between how Rail Extrude and the others work?
Am I the only one amused that a guy named "WiWi" wants to animate a toilet?
I am?
Dang.
Sweet Bazinga that was cool!
Howdy, and welcome!
A box and ball on the same layer are one object.
A box and ball on separate layers are one "model", but separate objects within that model.
I'll try to make up some examples...
Good stuff, everybody.
This is my favorite thing about LW. Ask 10 guys a question, get 10 different answers. All good, all valid, but different. There's so many ways to do any single task, you get...
I would have started the model a bit differently, like this...
01 shows the basic rough shape I'd start with.
02 shows that shape after hitting 'tab' key.
03 shows same shape after bandsaw to...
Nice update. Looks much better!
Looking forward to more...
Probably not, but bad habits are not good. (They're bad.)
There's something about the eye sockets that look funny to me.
Maybe it's not the eyes, though, maybe the cheeks need to be...
Is it just me, or does that machine look extremely over engineered?
Seems like a fairly simple shape that could be much more easily produced.
Also, the guy standing at the front is waaaaaay to...
You're on the right track with the morphs. That's how I'd do it.
Probably you'll only need 2 morphs; one for the initial lateral curve and a second for the stretch from the die.
I'd suggest using...
Hey Steve, that's looking really good so far.
(how'd you get so good so dang fast?)
In Photoshop, you can make brush size go up or down with the [ and ] keys.
I've got my wacom pen side button...
