New to Lightwave, and I'm looking for snapping tools. Such as taking a vertex
in the foreground and snapping it to another vertex in the background. I checked some plug-in websites but had no success finding any. I'm using
9.6 on a Mac universal.

LWCAD will do this but it's pretty expensive if that's all you're using it for. I can't recommend it enough anyway.

there is also snap drag, default hotkey is (shift + g) I believe. It allows you to drag verts and snap them to existing verts (all in foreground layer though).

The free version of SP_Move is excellent for this. The paid one is an extended complete snapping set. Both are excellent.

Snap-drag is perfect. Any other hidden commands I need to know about!

I find Modify -> Transform -> Spline Guide pretty useful for bending objects.
