How do I remove an unused surface name from the surface editor? I'm fairly new at this. I see where I can copy and paste them, but cannot delete them.

Thanks. I'm going to be PIA.

As I figured, it was a silly question. Never mind.

So, did you figure it out then?

Time for a 'Flush Surfaces' button NT! :)

so, just in case it wasnt figured out, they will just be deleted when you save, close and the reopen the object, as long as they are not applied to any polygons

i'm a big fan of maya's "delete unused nodes" command.

or, as usually with lightwave you can use a 3rd part plugin

My bad. What I did was copied the surfaces out to a new file. This got rid of more than a little junk. I'm getting to the finer points of texturing, and a lot of experimenting went on.

I mean, a LOT, too.

Thanks guys.
