View Full Version : SelectSurface

I just switched to a 64bit system and I haven't been able to find the SelectSurface.p for 64bits and it's driving me crazy, I keep hitting the keyboard shortcut I had assigned to it. Is there any way of duplicating this with lightscript? or is there another pluggin with similar functionality? Or a different technique that I'm missing to tweak a texture by selecting a polygon in moderler?

Let's say I have a garden with a ton of plants, and I notice one of the plants is too bright so I want to modify that surface in particular, the way I used to do it was to just select the polygon, hit my hotkey for SelectSurface and the surface editor would pop up and I would tweak it. Now I have to either try to guess the name for that surface, or select the polyogon, hide everything else, look into the available textures in the statistics panel, open surface editor, look for that texture..

There has to be an easier way..

Strange you should answer to a nearly year old thread the day I finally found an answer by asking again on this forum but to the Lscript gurus.

Dan Dulberger made a lscript and posted it here.

TrueArt's Surface Picker is for Layout, not Modeler (not possible to select polygons inside of Layout).
