View Full Version : LW takes 5 - 10 seconds to come to its senses after render

On heavier scense, 1 million+ polys after the rendering of a frame is finished and I press Continue on the Render Status window LW feels very slow and slugish for 5-10 seconds. After that it becomes normal again. Anyone noticed this too ? If I set all viewports to draw as Vertices then the problem is gone. Is this an OpenGL issue ? Using Windows 7 64.

I think I used to get that too on poly heavy scenes. Do you have any subdivision surfaces or displacement maps? I seem to recall someone saying that it was related to the freeing up of the memory used to generate the higher resolution models, but I could be thinking of something else. I don't believe I ever found a solution - it was just that way on high poly scenes.

If using subpatches try making the display and render subpatch the same.
