The 8800 GTX video card I put into my VT system died and I am in need of a new one. I've been looking and a 9800 modle looks good, but I'm not sure... Any input on this.

By the way... old one died due to over heat... I am already fixing that problem, but it may only be a temp fix due to what I have on hand.

Get a GTS 250...it's a reworked GTX 9800 (smaller die, less power draw)...has 1gb VRAM, and is compatible with OpenGL 3.0 (when that new standard starts being used by software vendors, you'll be ready). Pretty good card for the money

Little thing I found out... eVGA PCI-E x16 v2.0 graphic cards work with v1 slots.
