View Full Version : Gelato, Tesla, and Lightwave

You guys (and gals) did such a fine job answering my last question, thought I'd ask this one here.

So... I MIGHT have access to a Tesla setup. Tesla is nVidia's fast number crunching technology, basically a math co-processor on steroids... a whole lotta steroids.

So, I might have access to this setup. But, this system uses Gelato, nVidia's renderer. Now, as I understand it, Gelato has a plugin for 3d Max output, can take Renderman input, and nothing else.

Is it possible to convert Lightwave to Gelato format?
Is it possible to convert Lightwave to Renderman format?
Or can I get Lightwave to 3D Max to go to Gelato?

Whew, this had better be worth it!

Gelato has been killed off, I believe.

But there is, or at least WAS, a RIB exporter for Lightwave. Might not work anymore, though...
