View Full Version : How to get started with expressions?

I want to get started with expressions, can someone give me a pointer please?

What I am after specifically is to make one object share the orientation of another, so that as one spaceship rotates and turns, a small control type display rotates to match it.

Perhaps a lot like the way an artificial horizon banks as a plane turns...

Can't you do it with a constraint? A lot easier to do than trying to figure out one of the three available half baked expression systems.

I thought constraints just, err, constrained things?!?!

Can you tell me more?

If I want two objects to stay on step as one twists around, setting the H P & B with an expression seemed the obvious way to go...

Well, google won't tell you which ones are best before you work through them, and also can't look inside things like William Vaughan training videos...

Anyone got something constructive to add?
