I was following William Vaughan's tutorial roller train but when I try and animate the morph to follow the bones it doesn't align to the bone path. Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

I tend to use Dstorms free Trailer plugin for things like this. Its alot less of a pain to setup and tune.

Hi Splinegod

Thanks for the reply, the plugin is for PPC mac not the new intel .plugin, seems like I keep hitting a wall with this simply technique on a mac. (Fertilizer etc...)

LWs curve conform plugin is also capable of doing a similar thing.

BTW heres an example where I u sed the same spline to create the tracks, railroad ties and the motion path. In this case I used trailer but like I said it could be doing using the curve conform plugin.

Check out William's tutorial on Serpent in the Hours of Free LightWave Training (24 Hours+) Sticky in the LW Technique section. It's actually in one of Chuck's posts in the animation section.

The problem with serpent is that its extremely old and slow. Theres a lot of other methods/tools around that are far better.

Thanks SplineGod

I will try curve control, I've tried serpent but it has had issues with meshes popping sometimes.

Do you know if there's a version of Trailer available for :lwicon: 8.5?

Looks like it works with LW8 or higher:
