VIDEO ARTIST . 2d & 3d . Lightwave - Manchester.

Working as part of a rapidly expanding gaming company the successful, talented applicant will have a minimum of 3 YEARS COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE and be able to produce both 3D and 2D graphics for use in video gaming machines across various worldwide markets.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
 To be able to work from a specification/visual or both and produce high quality video graphics, which include the finishing touches that come with experience
 To meet deadlines, agreed between the artist and graphics manager.
 Work well as part of a team or individual and have a pro-active approach towards the design and creation of all games.
 Have the ability to storyboard initial ideas to rest of team.
 To adhere to development procedures.
 Show creative and enthusiastic flair with a willingness to learn
 Must be able to liaise with software engineers and develop/maintain best working practices between the 2 areas.
 To constantly develop the working environment to understand and get the best from the game engine and graphic packages used.

Required experience:-
 Min 3 yrs commercial experience essential.
 A Degree in a related course is essential .
 Excellent knowledge of 3D/2D applications, Lightwave (3DS Max or Maya considered)
 Modelling, animation and texturing experience is essential. Of particular interest will be facial character animation and good special effects that flow well through the animation.


 Experience in Alienbrain an advantage
 Experience in Messiah an advantage
