I've always loved the MGS series, particularly Grey Fox, but I wanted to create something that hadn't already been done, so I took a feminine approach.

Slick! I've only played MGS:Twin Snakes & MGS2, but love the series based on those. Very cool model.

Cool model! Do you have it rigged and animated or did you model this pose?

You could always claim this as your interpretation of Olga Gurlukovich from MGS2.

Is this suppose to be a male with female breasts?

She's just muscular, is all.

Thanks for the comments and questions everyone! At zbrushcentral I posted the explanation behind the masculinity of the character, my work process, and yes - some wires! It's on page 2, the long post by "AdR7" entitled "The Process" here: http://zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=70239&page=2

Very nice! She reminds me of Statesman from City of Heroes...just a lot more badass...

excellent work except..she's very manly :foreheads

I think the only thing that makes it look manly is the down and outward bulge in the codpiece. That aside, the anatomy looks obviously female (albeit muscular female which gives a slight masculine effect) to me.

you're probably right, except when I first looked at the face I gave for granted it was a male before seeing the rest...after close scrutiny it's obviously a very muscular woman. Also the face has female features, it's just quite "rough" to me.

A shot of the unarmored face:

Note: the ears were pinned back to accommodate the tight helmet. Since they wouldnt be seen in the final renders I also didn't bother to detail them.

So is she rigged in LW?

Since I don't plan on animating her (yet) I didn't see the point in setting up an entire rig, so I just set up the pose using transpose in ZBrush. I'm a full fledged lightwave fan and hardcore user, and adding zbrush to the workflow is like adding photoshop to to your photos. They just go together so well.

after seeing it without the mask on, I have to take back what I said about the head looking manly.
Amazing work alxndr

as a female version of grey fox looks good, though I personally would size down the stomach and hip areas while keeping the muscular aspect intact just give back that female shape a bit more, nothing wrong with sexy and deadly. also the face looks male, some work on the eyes should bring that out, like some more attention to the overall shape of the eye and maybe some curly eyelashes. also im not sure I like the feet the way they are with the barefoot, put it is an exoskeleton that grey fox wears maybe an alternate version with the boot shape perhaps even a high heel lol. Loving where the model is goin, and found ur masking technique on the sculpting in zbrush awsome.

very cool. would've preferred if she was more slender, sleek and asian looking to contradict hideo kojima's concept of military ninja robot. but going with hideo's concept and making it a woman is also good.
hmmm..starring that girl starbuk in battlestar.

I updated the model with anatomical fixes as per comments and suggestions. I thinned out the waist, tilted the torso more, adjusted the crotch area, calves, shoulder, abs, thinner nose, lense flare, etc... Subtle changes but I thought it was worth showing. Thanks everyone.

Thanks again for all the kind words.

Just a little update for those who are interested: Pixologic has featured my ninja in their turntable gallery (http://www.pixologic.com/turntable/) (presently on page 3). However I'm not really liking the quality and it always seems to stutter, so if you'd like to see a higher quality video of the same, go here (http://www.alexandervonsass.com/ninja-3d-turntable/).
