DV avi play back in TED

Having a problem working with DV files captured with 1394 through VT3 capture. After placing DV avi on time line in TED
They will play for 10 to 15 seconds then crash VT3.
files reside on a SCSI stripe set of 4X 73G cheetahs.
I have tested play back from IDE drive with same results.

Any one have suggestions please respond

Wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out that switching to an nVidia card (almost ANY one) would solve your problem...

I tried a MSI Gforce 4mx latest Nvidia drivers, but that didn't work:(
