Ok so I have started the Bugatti Veyron tutorial from 3dtotal.com and I have the blueprints he uses but he has the car vertical in the top left viewport and yet when i load it is always horizontal which eventually ruins the tutorial for making the roof. So my question is is there anyway to rotate the blueprint or get it facing vertical somehow?

Display Options->Viewports->Upright rotation

Or you should rotate the image instead.

Wait that does not work though because when I rotate that viewport it also rotates my obj. that is in there.

Yup. Thats why I said you need to rotate the image instead (in whatever program you like).

I tried that but even when the picture is shown vertical as soon as I load it as a background it goes horizontal again.

Hiya.

After you rotate your image 90 degrees in (Photoshop/PaintShopPro/Painter/whatever), make sure you save it. ;) After that, in LW, go to Image Editor (F6) and re-import the newly flipped version. On your Background tab of the display properties (I think it's "d" by default), re-choose the new pic for the appropriate viewport.
